About Certificate Generator

Frequently asked questions

Why does each certificate carry a serial number?

So it can be verified later. A certificate with no unique reference cannot be checked against a register, which makes it worthless in an audit. The number encodes the year and a sequence, and the register export gives you the list to check against.

What size are the certificates?

A4 landscape, 297 by 210 mm, which is the standard for printed certificates and fits ordinary certificate paper and frames. The PNG export renders at roughly 2x for a sharp print.

Can I use my own logo and signature?

Yes. Upload a PNG or JPG for the logo and for each signature. They are embedded in the certificate in your browser and saved with your private certificate settings on the CRMTECH server, so they are there next time you sign in.

How does the bulk run work?

Paste one name per line, or a CSV with name and extra columns such as score or completion date. Each row produces its own certificate with its own serial number, and the whole set can be printed in one pass.

Is this suitable for training records?

For internal training and participation certificates, yes, and the register export gives you the evidence trail. Statutory competency certificates must come from the accredited body that conducted the assessment.

Is Certificate Generator free?

Yes. Certificate Generator is free for everyone and needs no sign-up to use. An account is only needed to export, download or print, because every export is recorded.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Certificate Generator works inside your web browser, so the files you open are processed on your own device. If you sign in, the work you save (such as drafts and registers) is also kept in your account so it follows you to other devices.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It works in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on phones, tablets and computers, with nothing to install.
